Music for a Thursday - Haydn

He hung out with Mozart, was Beethoven's teacher, was a master of all forms of composition and wrote at least 104 symphonies in his 77 years.  Franz Joseph Haydn was the shit.  His Violin Concerto No. 1 was probably written in 1765 and was definitely written for violinist Luigi Tommasini.  He wanted to give Tommasini something to show off.  He delivered.  Here is Gil Shaham and the Israel Philharmonic:

Second movement.

Third movement.
