  • Government spending supplants private spending.
  • Private spending is more efficient than government spending.
  • Rich people create jobs.
  • Rich people create more jobs when they can keep more of their earnings.
  • No one ever succeeded on welfare.
  • Millions have succeeded by working.
  • Our government is living beyond its means.
  • We cannot afford additional government spending.
  • Our economy would be better if government spent less.
