Murky

We've all been in the murky waters:

"They seem to have it all figured out but I don't quite get it."

"There are a few pieces that aren't worked out yet."

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"I can get you that explanation later."

As we move we aren't certain where we are going.  Forward?  Backward?  Sideways?  The problem that can't quite be explained let alone solved.  The incredible deal we don't quite understand.  The plan that will certainly come together. . .soon.  The rationalization that never really passed the smell test.

These are signs we are in murky waters.  Our job is to steer clear.  To go where we can see better.  To filter these waters.

We will be told otherwise.  "It's okay, THEY have it figured out."  "This just feels right."  "Things aren't always black and white."  "It'll clear up later."

But it never does.  The phrases should be warning bells calling out for hard questions:  "Help me understand. . ."  "Can you walk me through it?"  "How will we handle this?"  Others are wondering too.

Clear the murky waters.
