"This past week has been soft moist spring like weather with a little freezing the last two days.
The dogs and I have walked all over the bottoms twice today without scaring out a rabbit. The rivers have been bank full all winter almost. How different from last year.
One night this week I heard a rabbit squall and ran to the place. Found it caught in a trap. The dogs and I had a fight for that rabbit. I won and released the poor thing. It made one successful dodge from the dogs and then into a hole. Its leg was badly skinned and maybe broken. I went back two days later and found the same trap reset with a dead rabbit for bait. I confiscated the trap.
I am learning to enjoy the radio. Especially the plays."
