A business fable - manual
"I'm sorry that's a manual process," the nice service lady commented as if she were saying something.
"What does that mean?" he asked.
"It is a manual process," she repeated. "We don't like to do that. We might make a mistake. It isn't automated."
"Let me tell you a story," he said calmly. "Almost everything good I have done in my life has been 'manual'. And I have made thousands of mistakes but that never stopped me from trying and learning and getting better. Do you know that the Mona Lisa was a manual process? The Gettysburg Address was manual. All of Einstein's great thinking was manual. Bach wrote every single one of his works manually. I'll bet that band playing on your radio is playing manually. Some of the greatest achievements of mankind were manual. Do you understand?"

As he walked away she turned to her coworker and rolled her eyes. "Some people. . ."
