Experimenting

I'm experimenting with tumblr and some family history.  My idea is to set up a site at tumblr (complete), pass the username and password on to a variety of family members (complete) and see what happens (developing).

I keep returning to this lifestream concept David Gelernter references and would like to see how it goes outside of a Facebook setting.

For those of you who might be considering a blog or tumblr site, both are fairly easy to set up and great fun.  While I pay for this site, I set the tumblr site up in ten minutes for free.

I encourage you to try it.

Sounds like a fun project. I find it difficult to get others to participate.

As much as I enjoy a good debate online and finding information I can use, creating things and seeing what others have created is what I enjoy most. Now that the bar is lowered so far with the technical skills required, we get to see so much more.

The lifestream concept is interesting. I was going to remove the calendar on mine, then I noticed that it was turning into a cool timeline of what I was thinking about and doing in the past and few mentions of plans in the future. Those who don't at least try to create something are missing out.
