The library in my community is so out of the loop in what they carry that I don't even bother going. I love amazon. I'd like the library, but it smells like homeless people.

     I can remember when "homeless person" became the euphemism du jour for "bum." Now that "homeless person" is itself pejorative, and has been for several years, it won't be long before it becomes taboo and we'll be required to use some new term for "bum." A thorn by any other name . . .
