Tutelage

“'Least resistance' training, when at its best, describes a measured application of horsemanship skills through appropriate technique, feel, and timing which enables a horse to understand the nature of a specific performance that it is being asked to execute. It is conveyed through the use of body language that horses themselves use naturally to communicate with one another. Commonly referred to as 'natural horsemanship' by members of the equine community, this method does not necessarily come naturally to most aspiring horsemen. Unfortunately, despite all good intentions, without untold hours of practice with a very large variety of horses most people fall terribly short of being able to find this veritable 'path of least resistance' which leads to a special working relationship; a partnership with the horse."
