You're right. Loads of life lessons here. Success, but only after a long string of failures.
Right now, there's someone just like him hanging out at an OWS event pissing and moaning that his student loans are to high and that it's someone else's fault that they're not getting published as a writer.
My money says he'll eventually see his original dream of being an author come to fruition in due time too.
