Music for Roctober - #9 - The Beatles

Recorded in January of 1969, "Let It Be" is frequently rated among the favorite songs of Beatles fans.  Written by Paul McCartney and based on a dream visit he had with his deceased mother, it was released in May of 1970.  Both John Lennon and Paul McCartney had already announce their departure from The Beatles.

It is an incredibly peaceful song and was a #1 hit for The Beatles in the U.S., charting at #2 in the U.K.  Enjoy:
