Music for Roctober - #24 - Black Sabbath

Before metal there was Black Sabbath.  Before black was celebrated, there was Black Sabbath.  Before Ozzie Osborne, there was. . .Ozzie Osborne with Black Sabbath.  Honest, basic heavy rock and roll.

This was 1970.  There weren't songs out there like "Paranoid".  Watch this video:



We are now messing in the territory of the big dogs of rock and roll.  This is the stuff of legends, the music that marks rock and roll as the premier music form of the past 50 years.  This song is now over 40 years old.  When it was recorded it was a last minute thought to fill Black Sabbath's second album, ParanoidParanoid was Black Sabbath's most popular album and the song "Paranoid" made it to #4 on the UK charts and #61 on the Billboard Charts.  We all know the song so let's watch the masters of metal plow the ground:
