Transformation
Sometime today, go to Nicholas Bate's website and read his complete list entitled 2011: TheYearofTransformation.
Next, pick one item and do it. Just do it. Exercise a choice. Do something better than watching television. Make bread. Reflect on your week. Read a biography. Go to the library.
Then do another and another and another. You will be pleasantly surprised by the results.
I've had people ask me why I so enjoy Bate's writing. My answer is always quick: It is doable. I don't mean that in a standard-lowering way; I mean it the right way. The actions Bate writes about are: a) written in English rather than some gibberish pseudo-science or pop psychology language, and b) completely doable in the best sense of the word.
