A meeting

Doug Fine and Ray Visotski
Bloggers don't often get to meet. I consider myself lucky living near such a fine group of them. There's my mentor, Pat Guanciale whose office I cruise by each day. There is our Chamber President, Cheri Hottinger, who runs a great blog. My childhood friend, Rob, also blogs here. Local real estate developer and pal, Steve Layman operates Anderson Layman's Blog - we've even been known to gather from time to time. Central Ohio is brimming with ideas. I've even set up a blog roll of area writers on the left-hand sidebar.
But among the first blogs I discovered on my journey in 2007 was Doug Fine's Eclecticity, an eclectic blog about whatever skitters across Doug's mind. Eclecticity is first rate and was my introduction to Ray Visotski's A Simple, Village Undertaker which looks at the world through Ray's eyes. . .and sees some wonderful things.
So when I was headed to Augusta for business, I dropped Doug and Ray a line and we met for breakfast. It was an hour worth hours as we talked about business, family and other fine things.
Doug reports on the official proceedings here and Ray's account is here.
Thanks for taking time Doug and Ray.

Some guy named Dexter often said that you will be the same person next year as last year except for the people you associate with and the books you read. Our blogosphere has some pretty amazing people in it. Thanks for being one of them.
