"How different this season is from last year. Then it was so dry that nothing would start growing right. As the season advanced it seemed that something was going to make a desert of fertile Ohio. Now the old weatherman has righted things and we are progressing thru this spring with an abundance of rain, splendid growing weather for wheat, grass, fruit and all things that prosper in a cool growing season. Blossoms are running a week behind this year. Roses were not out for decoration.
Yesterday I took the dogs for a walk and fished some in the Walhonding. Caught one small sucker and gave it away. In the evening Brunskills and E (Ella) and I picnicked at Soggy Hill.
This afternoon the same parties and Dorothat were at the Ewing rock garden over near Cambridge. The forepart of the day I spent greasing the car."
