Work routines

Execupundit
looks at work styles.

As I examined his contrasts I could help but imagine the perfect work routine:

Mozart's Piano Sonatas play in an otherwise quiet room as he works through the morning without a single interruption except for drop-by clarifications he makes during the one or two morning breaks.  The long stretches of morning work time are perfect for the kind of attention needed to meet upcoming deadlines.

Lunches alternate throughout the week between alone time spent reading and rousing discussions with colleagues and guests over the special and hot tea at The Golden Wok.

Afternoons are for calls, emails, meetings and reviews of the morning's work which is printed out and scribbled over with red ink.  He prefers three good drafts of most projects; two of his own making and the third including feedback from the team,.  Near the end of the day, he plans his attack for tomorrow, sketching out the morning tasks and tying up the loose ends of the day.

What's your perfect work day?
