Stop waiting
Execupundit has a link to the trailer for the movie "Waiting for Superman".
While I haven't seen the movie my thoughts immediately go to the idea of "waiting" to be saved. I think of the importance of instilling a love of reading and a love of the process of inquiry. I think of my great grandfather, D.C. Richard, and his life-learning plan. I think of our library system and big screen televisions. I think of the new season of Desperate Housewives or Jersey Shore. I think of the mailbox effect from my old professor Ray Tucker. I think of Hugh MacLeod's saying: "Power is never given. Power is taken. "
I fear many will be waiting for a very long time.
