I say we start a Visit Arizona counter-campaign

I've never understood these boycott campaigns .  I wouldn't want to vacation with these people anyway.

It bears repeating that this "outrageous" act committed by Arizona was to call for the enforcement of laws.

I'm in. Arizona is a good state to visit.

I heard on the radio that San Francisco businesses are worried about a backlash boycott of their city. I'd bet they have reason to worry.

I found San Francisco by day to be a lovely place.  By night, I enjoyed it less.

I know and I'm related to many good folks that happen to be Hispanic.  When you mention LaRaza, they get that same creepy feeling that Germans get when you mention Nazi.  It's not a proud association by any means.

The argument on legality is that we all speed, smoke pot, cheat on taxes, and lie to get out of jury duty, but when it comes to immigration we turn into Johnny Law.  To a slight degree, maybe a little true.  The thing is though, there are penalties to pay for any of those destructive violations when caught and there are reasons that they are law.

This has nothing to do with race.  When they pull out the race card it diverts attention from the real problem that needs solved - legality. We can change laws, but race can't be changed.

I want immigration.  I want law-abiding and hard working immigrants to come help us solve this economic crisis. Productive people are really handy for that and Mexico is packed full of them and their setting idle because of their own repressive government and illegal immigrants taking their place.

A few years ago, I tracked down the documents related to my grandfather's trek to this country.  He came through Ellis Island.  He had a sponsor and he became a citizen.  I have zero problem with immigration.  But had my grandfather entered this country illegally, he should have been sent back.

There may be "very good" individual reasons for the illegals to try to come to this country.  Those are their reasons.  That should not affect our attempts to maintain the integrity of our borders.  This is not a speeding ticket.
