Convalescence

I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and felt like I had been left outside in the cold.  I Couldn't stop shivering.  This morning I thought that a truck had run over me while I slept outside.  When your teeth ache from sinus pressure there is a problem.

My wife chuckled as she walked through the room this morning.  I couldn't hear her well but did pick up something that sounded like ". . .ussy."  My theory is that I don't get sick very often so I'm not a very good patient.  She mumbled something back with absolutely no compassion.

Alka Seltzer cold medicine, honey, green tea and Lapsang Souchong.  We'll try this again tomorrow.

I'm afraid to look up what Lapsang Souchong is. Doesn't even sound legal.

I've been evading this stuff going around with organic apple cider vinegar. It's cheap and it works for me. Most likely, none of this does anything but make you think you've done something. I need the kick that vinegar has, others need the mystery and apparent Oriental wisdom of Lapsang Souchong. We can both agree on the honey and green tea though.

As we ease into the Chinese lifestyle, I commend you on your choices comrade.

      Thanks, Jonathon.

Update:  My wife just said  "it's a good thing you don't get sick often because you are annoying when you don't feel well."  I had simply asked for some Kleenex with aloe.  I guess I am going to the store.
