When I read this story about Congressman Bart Stupak's deal, I thought back to his impassioned speech on floor of the House.  I next thought of this clip from Braveheart:

    I remember a conversation with a First Sergeant explaining why some have to suffer for the common good of the cause and that this is why you have to learn to dig deep foxholes fast. Should the enemy close in, you call artillery in on yourself. I began questioning my occupational choices at this realization.

    Point is, the Democrats know they're in a losing position and they picked and chosen who was the most expendable and paid off those that were needed. Regardless, they're losing the war even though they won this battle.
