Last year I posted Samuel Johnson's resolutions, figuring they were a good list to work from:

• To conquer scruples
• To read the Bible this year
• To try to rise more early
• To study Divinity
• To live methodically
• To oppose idleness
• To frequent Divine worship

I didn't completely fail, but there is some work to be done and I don't want to run away from the job so they have become my resolutions for 2010. 

I am reminded of the annual New Year's resolution of a friend's (very tough) father:  "No more mister nice guy."  I was tempted to go with "more of the same", one of the motto's of this web site.  But I shall set my sites higher and give it a good try.  I'm keeping the picture too.
