Mainstream media MIA on Van Jones
Hot Air reviews how the mainstream media ignored the controversy around green jobs czar, Van Jones. Byron York sums it up:
"Coverage of the Jones controversy was a case study of some of the deep divisions within the media. Fox News’ Glenn Beck devoted program after program to Jones’ past, and a number of conservative blogs were responsible for finding some of Jones’ most inflammatory statements.Yet even as the controversy grew — and even after Jones himself apologized for some of his words — several of the nation’s top media outlets failed to report the story."
Media types are too busy tracking the number of advertisers boycotting Glenn Beck, to actually look at what he reports.
Update: Taxmanblog has a good exchange on the subject among the Fox All Stars. Be sure to watch the video.

Mickey Kaus is getting closer to his dream: "I've been waiting for the day when a prominent pol resigns and for print MSM readers it appears to be out-of-the-blue...." http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/kausfiles/archive/2009/09/05/van-jones-resigns.aspx
