    I think Sen. Boxer could be forgiven for assuming that the National Black Chamber of Commerce had some interest in race. But its president makes a good point that she certainly was condescending, not only to him personally but also to blacks in general. Identity politics is inevitably condescending. That's one of many reasons why it's wrong.
