Who are we?

Several thoughts on the recent Wall Street Journal poll:
1) Obama is very popular and was very effective at drawing moderates over to the Democratic vote, just as Reagan did for Republicans in the 80's. The real test will come as policies play out. Can Obama so expand government to create a permanent, entitled voting class as has clearly become his goal?
2) Republicans are incredibly unorganized and failing to tap into a natural and justified suspicion that Americans have for government. I speak as a friend and see so many factions vying for position. I'm not sure that is bad. The competition can help if it doesn't factionalize too much.
3) Republicans lack a "movement" and a "message." Democrats have been very effective plus they have a highly visible, very popular leader in Obama. My biggest frustration with the party is that I hear lots of voices and no clear message.
4) Watch the governors. I still think that the leadership will come from a governor.
Good article at The Wall Street Journal.
