"Sunny warm forenoon at the farm.  Trimmed a tree, a sweet locust and walked around.  Fished some and talked with camper, Sivigert and farmer McCullough.

Celebrated Gene's birthday (April 19) today.  Henry here too and Mac and Dot had to have dinner sent them as Mary Ellen is not strong enough to visit although she has made fine improvement.  Both nurses dismissed Saturday.  Gene told her she came to see her as soon as she heard she was sick.  She replied 'don't be frightened Gene.'"
