"Mostly cool winterish eves thru this month.  The last two days have been sunny and I have taken advantage of them in making my hot beds.  Tonight I was out to the river bank with the dogs (this is a regular after supper habit) and spent many enjoyable minutes stargazing.  It seems there is always something new to learn from the skies.

Last Thursday night - just a week ago - Ella received a telegram about ten o'clock that brother Clem Apgar was dead.  She and Gene drove to Cincinnati Friday afternoon and back Sunday evening.

Am reading
Bass, Pike and Perch and Other Game Fishes of North America, by Henshall - an excellent book.  Soon I'll do more than just read of these fish."
