Quotation for March

"After a few days of spring weather we have a return to winter again.  Last night I was sitting with the door open.  When I got up this morning an ice and snow blizzard was in progress.  This evening the dogs and I were walking to "dead man's hole."  Saw ducks, crows, doves, blackbirds and our newcomer, the starling, who has already gained my disfavor by being such a hog and driving other birds away from the window sill feed."

D.C. Richard
(my great grandfather)
