I hadn't thought about this movie in years.  But the other night, I was cleaning the kitchen after dinner and Stuart, our outdoor cat, snuck indoors and strolled through the kitchen.  Instinct caused me to say "get that cat out of here" just like Steve Martin in the movie.  My kids didn't understand what was funny about that statement.  Such a funny movie.  Here is one of the surgical scenes (though not the one where Martin delivers the cat line).  NSFW but very funny in a Steve Martin way:
