Another "essential" nominee and taxes
Sorry, but if Tom Daschle were a Republican nominated for a position in a Republican administration, the media would be awash in stories of the new administration that is detached from everyday Americans and obviously believes that the rules don't apply to them. The Wall Street Journal has a straightforward piece but The New York Times covers it as a tax for "use of car" only mentioning the "driver" inside the story. The Times editorial page is too busy writing about Obama's Reagan-style transformation. The Washington Post claims that Daschle has hit a hurdle. The Post's editorial page is silent on the issue.
