Here is how I believe and pray that history will settle on this chapter in our story:

The U.S. was drawn into an all-out war of civilizations by an attack on her soil. 

The battle was wisely taken to the enemy.

Many mistakes were made in various battles but freedom prevailed over another iteration of fascism.
