Being a favorite is cool

I started Cultural Offering in August, 2007.  My first post was the picture that you see above this text.  That first week I had about 15 hits on the site.  I think twelve of those hits were family members.  My first milestone was a hit from Canada (thanks, Marlowe) and then from England (thanks, Isabelle).  For those unfamiliar with web tracking technology, there are a number of resource sites that offer the ability to see where your web traffic originates.  It is pretty neat technology.  You can see how many people come to your site, the city, state and country of origin, when people reference your site and some other things that I haven't figured out yet.

Once I started the site, I looked to some other sites for guidance:  How many posts per day?  How to post? etc.  Among those sites was one called Execupundit, which I stumbled upon one evening while sipping a Coors.

The site now averages over 1,000 "hits" per week, which, for me, is more than I thought I would ever see.  This week I hit another milestone:  Execupundit listed CO as a link.  Thanks, Execupundit.  And thanks to you who visit the site as well.
