I was listening to the radio and a public service announcement came on regarding farm subsidies paid out in Manhattan.   Turns out that David Letterman received $8,000 in subsidies according to the Environmental Working Group's web site.  Curious, I queried payouts in Newark and was shocked at the money (here).
