The bookend responsibilities of a leader, says John Maxwell, are to define reality and say thank you.  Newark Mayor Bruce Bain accomplishes the second in his Friday editorial on the budget.  The first remains open.  However, you can't help reading the piece, knowing the infrastructure, safety and development challenges facing Newark, and not want a little more reality defined. 

I support Bain, but want to see some more of the inspiring there-is-plenty-more-work-to-do stuff.
